GENERAL

Gender: Female
Years in Practice: 30+
Fee (per session): $105
Sliding Scale: Occasionally ($30-$100). I only do sliding once therapy is in process and seems to be effective. Reduced fee is thus implemented to continue therapy's effectiveness.
Insurance Policies: Though my fees are typically reimbursed by insurance companies, I do not accept "assignment" of payment by these companies. While I am willing to fill out the "provider" information on statements, I do not submit insurance claims myself. Rather, I give them to my patients for review and it's up to them to decide whether to file or not. I am not a Medicaid or Medicare provider.

CLIENT FOCUS
I see patients of all ages, from very young children through the elderly.

Training, patients, and my own struggles aided by psychoanalysis have taught me that while most lives encounter problems, the effort to deal with these issues with professional support and attention can be excitingly freeing as well as psychologically beneficial. The pursuit of emotional freedom is my life dedication even though, at times, this includes the freedom to experience and deal with sadness, anger and other emotional pain. When such feelings are present (but outside awareness), they need to be dealt with consciously to minimize their potentially negative effects and to facilitate psychological growth.

My obligations are to patients and not to outside "case managers." Therefore, I am not on any "managed care" panels and I never release information about my patients to anyone else unless patients ask me to do so. Experience has taught me that confidentiality is essential if patients are to be able to face issues and fears that often have troubled them for years. Therapist trustworthiness is the most valuable commodity we can offer.
